What the category is for
Founder-led selling works until it is the constraint. The problem is rarely the pitch — it is that the judgment about which objection matters lives in one head, so every call needs that head in it.
Founder dependency
Your first hire can run the demo and cannot run the hard turn. So the calendar becomes the pipeline, and hiring another seller does not fix it because there is nothing to hand them except your instinct.
Unclear market belief
Buyers admire the idea without locating it in a budget or a job they already prioritise. Treating “interesting” as almost-sold burns months nurturing curiosity — they are not slow, they are unconvinced there is a slot for you at all.
Weak differentiation
You answer the same three doubts in every conversation and each answer is slightly different, so nobody else can repeat it and the market never hears one story twice.
A deal reaches the objection that used to need you. The rep has the read, the question and the response already written against your judgment — and the follow-through is part of the plan, not an improvisation.
You see it in the workspace afterwards rather than in the call.
